Another Word For Desire
The Artist’ studio is usually a space for seclusion, populated only by concept and representation, activity and lots of contemplation. When you see a spiderweb, you see it already completed. Similarly, when you a see a painting, you cannot envision every step that led to the final work. You don’t know how it was created.
The project consists in establishing a hidden audience that will be allowed to enter this space and become witness to the creation of a new painting. Over one month period (October 1st – November 1st, 2016), a webcam will be placed in my studio and will live stream on youtube what is happening in that space. It is less important whether I will be present or not in the filming frame – what matters is that, for a whole month, those interested in the process of creation, which most of times is unique and more complex than the final product, will have full access to it.
The painting’s title is „Man Seen From Remote”, oil on canvas, 500 cm x 200 cm
