I dreamed sheet lightning other night
Sheet lightings are the flashes of a distant storm, a silent warning of the coming tempest.
In the myths of various nations a mouse is closely related to the storm. There are myths that tell about the mouse’s origin from the storm, myths about a mouse falling from the sky during a storm. In Russian language words “storm” and “threat” have the same route. The “horde” of computer mice has filled the space of atelier . Computer mice, as well as other electronic waste that we discard, uncontrollably “multiply” and gather in waste landfills, forming “flocks”. As their number increases, so does the threat of electronic waste invasion.
A video about mice and thunderstorm is being projected on one of the walls. Installation will be interactive. Everybody can bring their computer mice and add them to the installation.
